REP. FORREST BENNETT

OK HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

DISTRICT 92

Panelist: "Service as a Career"

Forrest Bennett is a native Oklahoman and grew up in Bartlesville. His favorite high school jobs were working at a movie theater and at a pizza restaurant, which explains why he's still addicted to both. Forrest was invited to attend Hogwarts, but his family couldn't afford the tuition, which has, in part, led to his passion for quality, affordable education for all. He ultimately went to the non-wizarding but still wonderful University of Oklahoma to study Political Science. Upon graduation, he worked in political campaigns and community organizing, which opened his eyes to the way people perceive how government is working for them and the many challenges facing families in OKC. Forrest went back to OU for his Masters in Public Administration, and worked as a teaching assistant, molding young minds in the classroom as an intro to American federal government instructor. Forrest was elected to the state legislature from house district 92 in November of 2016, after a year-and-a-half long campaign during which his car was stolen and lots of other exciting things happened. Forrest had to borrow a car to get here, but it's worth it because you all seem very nice.
